Adobe Premiere -> MOV

1. Export as Micrisoft AVI, with "No Compression" option.
2. The output is about 7GB for 5 minutes, 600 x 600.
3. Open it in Quicktime and export it as mov file.
4. About 40% quality, the compressed file is about 70MB.

Screen -> AVI / SWF

• CamStudio http://camstudio.org/
  • Have to manually specify the capture window.
• Jing http://www.jingproject.com/
  • Need a user privilege to install.
  • Only allows SWF.

Image Sequence -> AVI

• Virtual Dub http://www.virtualdub.org/

1. File > Open Video File > select the first image
2. File > Save as AVI

AVI -> MOV (Best compression rate)

• Quicktime

1. Open the avi file with quicktime.
2. Export as mov file.

AVI -> WMV

• Windows Media Encoder

1. Log in robusta (Dingding's machine)
2. Start Menu > All Programs > Windows Media > Windows Media Encoder
3. Custom Session
4. Sources (tab) > Source From "File" > specify input filename (avi)
5. Output (tab) > Pull from encoder... > uncheck
6. Output (tab) > Encode to file > check
7. Output (tab) > specify output filename (wmv)
8. Compression (tab) > Edit > 300kbps (tab) > Same as Video Input > check
9. Start Encoding (Top Menu Icon)
